1. What made you decide to study in Taiwan?

  • The university offered scholarship.
  • The quality of education is very good. (university’s world ranking is very high)
  • Safety environment
  • Cost of living is not too high

2.  Briefly tell us about the program you are studying. What subjects are you studying? What have you enjoyed the most in your studies?

I am currently studying MBA program which we have to study in many disciplines. It is an English-taught program but international students are required to learn Chinese language as well. What I enjoy is we have a lot of discussion in class. Professors always encourage students to participate in classes.

3. How is studying in Taiwan when compared to studying and being a student in your home country? (Teaching Quality、Environment、School Equipment、Laboratory or others)

Honestly, everything is better than in my home country. Here is more open-minded, we can discuss with professors and classmates freely, compare to my home country which is always passive (we only listen to lecture and less chance to participate in class). School equipment is more supportive in term of both for studying and recreation purpose. Environment is study-friendly. We do not need to worry about anything (e.g. safety environment) when being on the campus.

4.  What has been the most difficult part about applying to study in Taiwan? How did you overcome the difficulty?

When I started to search for the information about admission. There are many sources from the university website, for example, admission office, Office of International Affairs (OIA) and GMBA website. Those sources provided a slightly different information about the requirement for application. So I sent the email to make sure what is correct about my questions.

5.  What do you plan to do after you have finish your studies in Taiwan? Would you like to stay in Taiwan?  Why?

Since I am already familiar with the environment here. I enjoy living here in the good society. People here are very nice, food is delicious. I strongly believe that if I can start a career in Taiwan, I will be very happy.

6.  How do you think studying in Taiwan can benefit you in your future career?

Studying in Taiwan definitely provide me with many benefits. Apart from the reputation of the university, the professional in thinking and working process here during my study can support me when working. Moreover, the opportunity to learn Chinese language will increase the competitiveness in the future for my career.

7.  What do you see as your key achievements when studying in Taiwan?

I truly increase my confidence in using foreign language, in particular, English, for both in the public speaking, presentation and everyday use. In addition, the ability to express and contribute my ideas to my teamwork and it was accepted.

8. What advice do you have for other interested overseas students who want to come to Taiwan to study?

Universities in Taiwan definitely offer the great quality of education. Also, living here could be one of most wonderful moment you have ever had in your life. Taiwan offers you safety environment, good local people and great food. Do not hesitate to come and experience it yourself.
